Ingredients for the Zupa Jarzynowa Recipe
- 4 large potatoes, peeled and diced
- 4 large carrots, peeled and diced
- 2 sticks of celery, thinly sliced
- ½ cauliflower head, broken into small florets
- ½ green cabbage or spring greens, chopped
- 2 teaspoons of dried parsley
- 2 litres of stock
- Olive or vegetable oil
- Salt and black pepper to taste
How to Make Zupa Jarzynowa
- Add olive or vegetable oil to a large pan over medium heat.
- Add the chopped potatoes, celery, and carrots to the pan, and cook for five minutes, stirring once.
- Pour the vegetable stock over the vegetables, and simmer for 15 minutes.
- Add the cauliflower, cabbage, and parsley, then cook for 10 minutes.
- Season the zupa jarzynowa with salt and black pepper before serving.

- If you are not a vegetarian, you can use chicken stock and add some shredded chicken to this Polish soup for a hearty meal.
